Early Years Nursery Practitioner

We’re looking for a warm and enthusiastic individual to join our growing nursery team in Fixby, Huddersfield, and help create a happy, safe and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow and thrive.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Supporting the day-to-day learning, development and wellbeing of children aged 4 months to 5 years, including planning and providing fun, engaging activities.
• Helping children during mealtimes and sleep times, including the safe preparation and sterilisation of bottles.
• Supporting children with their personal care, hygiene and everyday needs with kindness and sensitivity.
• Helping to keep the nursery clean, safe and welcoming, maintaining high standards of health, safety, safeguarding and hygiene.
• Working closely with our friendly, supportive team of skilled practitioners to provide the best possible care and learning experiences for every child.

What we’re looking for:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare or early years.
• A genuine love of working with children and a passion for supporting their learning, development and happiness.
• A caring, patient and positive approach, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check upon commencing employment.
• A paediatric first aid qualification, or a willingness to complete the training upon commencing employment.
