Early Years Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and caring practitioner who genuinely loves working with babies and toddlers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and a creative, child-led approach to learning — especially one who isn’t afraid to get stuck into messy play!

Requirements

• MUST hold Level 3 qualification in Early Years (equivalent or above)
• Need to be available to work during opening hours Monday - Friday 7.30am- 5pm
• Experience working with babies and toddlers (0–2 years)
• Passion for child-led learning, messy play and creativity
• Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A nurturing, patient and playful personality

Desirable

• Paediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Safeguarding Training certification

Duties

• Provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children aged 0–2 years
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS, including sensory and messy play
• Build strong relationships with children and their families, promoting a positive and inclusive environment
• Work effectively within a team to support children’s development and wellbeing
• Carry out observations, assessments and maintain accurate records of children’s progress
• Maintain a clean, safe and stimulating environment at all times
• Communicate clearly and professionally with parents, carers and colleagues

Hours

• 25-40 Per Week (Hours can be negotiated for the right candidate)

At Little Twinkles Childcare, we pride ourselves in providing a warm, home-from-home environment where children are nurtured and encouraged to grow, explore and develop through play. We are currently expanding and looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team in our baby / toddler room (ages 0–2).
