Early Years Practitioner Level 3

Norton Community Pre-School are looking for a practitioner to join their team. The Pre-School is a 30-place setting, caring for children aged 2-4 years. The Pre-School is a pack away setting within a church hall and is open term time only. We open 5 days a week, Monday - Friday 9am-3pm.

The ideal candidate must hold a level 3 childcare qualification, be able to work as a key person and as part of the Pre-School team under the direction of the manager. To provide safe, high-quality education, care for the young children and meet their individual needs.

The ideal candidate will also need the following attributes:

• At least 2 years proven experience of working in a setting for early years
• Level 2 or 3 early years education and childcare qualification or equivalent and commitment to further qualifications
• Have a sound knowledge of the 2021 EYFS framework and child development, and also to have the ability to promote a child led setting.
• Use initiative and imagination to generate new ideas
• Take into account the SEND code of practice, equal opportunities and understand the prevent duty legislation
• Be committed to safeguard and promote the welfare of the children, also to be aware of the safeguarding procedures
• Be able to work with parents and families with the community to encourage involvement and development of their children.
