Early Years Practitioner (Term Time Only)

Job Summary

If you have recent experience working within a childcare setting then you are the person we are looking for within our Pack Away setting. You will use your experience and knowledge of the EYFS and children with SEN to help your key children to reach their potential and learn through play. You will become part of a Pre School which was "Outstanding within childrens development" and one which has been in the community for over 50 years. You will be a member of a hard working team of professional staff and cover staff absences / holidays in addition. You will help create a learning and stimulating environment for 9mths – 4 yrs old and will attend staff meetings plus undergo update training when required.

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be a Key person for a group of no more than 9 children. You must be Level 3 qualified and have had experience with children who have special educational needs. You will use your ability to plan; use timelines and photo choosing boards to help all of the children within the setting throughout the day as well as help with setting up; pack away and changing nappies . You will observe; set learning objectives and record the milestones of your key children within their Learning Journals. You will liaise with outside agencies as well as meet with parents.

Monday 8.15am - 12.15pm = 4hrs

Tuesday 8.15am – 12.15pm = 4 hrs

Wednesday 8.15am - 12.15pm = 4hrs

Friday 8.15am - 12.15pm = 4hrs

TOTAL HRS = 16hrs (possibility of increasing)

Start Date: 4th January 2027 (possibility of earlier start)

End Date: 16th July 2027 (possibility of extending)

Qualifications and Skills
Level 3 qualification in Early Years and Childcare Education. Must have recent 2 -3 years experience within another childcare setting. Good spoken and written English. In date Pediatric First Aid Certificate. DBS checked and registered with the Update Service. No exceptions.

Required for Spring and Summer Term 2027

Job Type: Part-time (38 weeks term time only)

Salary: £12.71 per hour (paid over 52 weeks)

Holiday: 5.8 weeks per year
