Earthmoving Plant Operator

About the role

You will primarily operate a Posi Track / Skid Steer, completing final trim, grading and detailed finishing works across a variety of civil construction projects. This role requires a high level of accuracy, with the ability to work to tight tolerances of 5–7mm and achieve precise levels and specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Posi Track / Skid Steer machinery for final trim and finishing works.
• Prepare, grade and trim surfaces to required levels and specifications.
• Read and interpret civil construction plans and site levels.
• Use GPS machine guidance systems to achieve accurate results.
• Assist with general site preparation and earthmoving activities.
• Operate additional machinery, including excavators and rollers, when required.
• Work safely and collaboratively with supervisors and site teams.

About you

• Minimum 2 years' experience operating mobile plant in civil construction, with 5–10 years preferred.
• Proven experience in final trim and precision finishing works.
• Strong Posi Track / Skid Steer operating skills.
• Ability to achieve tight tolerances of approximately 5–7mm.
• Hands-on experience with GPS machine guidance systems.
• Ability to read construction plans and understand levels, grading and site preparation.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current driver's licence.
• White Card (or willingness to obtain).
