EB Welder

Core Duties

• Configure, run, and oversee the performance of electron beam welding machinery.
• Adjust and debug CNC welding software, specifically focusing on G-code and Siemens interfaces to improve operational efficiency.
• Execute high-precision welding tasks that meet rigorous tolerance standards.
• Analyze complex engineering blueprints and technical specifications to ensure accuracy within 0.0001 inches.
• Organize, orient, and secure parts in preparation for the welding process.
• Oversee automated welding sequences, making necessary parameter changes to ensure consistent output quality.
• Conduct regular equipment upkeep, diagnostic checks, and mechanical refinements to keep production moving.
• Contribute to general shop floor tasks, including component cleaning, assembly, and fabrication.
• Examine finished welds to identify potential flaws or quality deviations.
• Utilize NDE/NDT techniques, such as X-ray and fluorescent penetrant testing, to verify structural integrity.
• Work alongside technical staff and management to address and solve manufacturing challenges.
• Provide support for various other production activities as the workload requires.

Essential Qualifications

• A minimum of five years of background in precision fabrication, CNC work, or similar manufacturing roles.
• Prior work with EB welding is highly desired, while TIG or automated welding skills are beneficial.
• Proficiency in managing CNC hardware, including the use of Siemens controls and G-code programming.
• Demonstrated capability to modify and fix CNC software programs.
• Deep knowledge of precision measurement tools, strict tolerance requirements, and weld standards.
• Familiarity with NDE/NDT, FPI, or X-ray testing methods is considered an asset.
• Proven ability to perform mechanical repairs and maintain production equipment.
• High level of precision in aligning components and conducting thorough quality inspections.
