ECC Registered Veterinary Nurse - Surbiton

We’re looking for an RVN to join our ECC team at Surbiton.

Voo is an independent veterinary group, and our Surbiton hospital provides emergency and critical care alongside our wider first-opinion and referral services. You’ll be working in a busy hospital environment with a varied caseload, supporting patients who need close monitoring, intensive nursing and emergency care.

The role

As an ECC RVN, you’ll play an important part in caring for our hospitalised and emergency patients, working closely with our veterinary team to provide a high standard of clinical care.

Your day-to-day role will include:

• Nursing and monitoring hospitalised patients
• Providing emergency and critical care nursing
• Supporting vets with emergency cases and procedures
• Monitoring patients closely and responding to changes in their condition
• Administering medications and treatments
• Maintaining accurate clinical records
• Working closely with the wider ECC and nursing team
• Helping maintain high standards of patient welfare and clinical care

The rota

This is a 7 on / 7 off role, with a mix of days and nights.

About you

We’re looking for an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about patient care and enjoys working in a hospital environment.

You’ll have:

• RCVS registration
• At least one year small animal nursing experience
• An interest in, or experience of, emergency and critical care
• Good clinical judgement and the ability to prioritise
• A calm and organised approach, particularly when things get busy
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine commitment to providing excellent patient and client care

Previous ECC experience would be great, but we’re also happy to hear from RVNs who have a strong clinical foundation and are keen to develop their ECC skills further.
