ECE Teacher

Job Summary

Duties

• Design and implement creative, age-appropriate lesson plans that promote active learning and curiosity
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages positive social interactions
• Support children’s emotional well-being by modeling respectful communication and conflict resolution skills
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to develop individualized education plans for children with special needs or disabilities
• Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones
• Utilize computer skills to document activities, communicate with families, and manage classroom resources effectively
• Lead classroom activities that enhance language development in English and French, promoting bilingual learning when applicable

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings or similar environments
• Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French is highly desirable
• Knowledge of childcare best practices and early childhood education principles
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is preferred
• Bilingual abilities to support diverse language learners are a plus
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage classroom dynamics efficiently
• Excellent organizational skills to plan lessons, track progress, and maintain classroom materials
• Proficiency in computer operation and basic software applications for documentation and communication purposes
• Ability to work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and specialists to support each child's development
• Time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities effectively

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
