ECEA/ ECE/ Break Coverage/ Substitute Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as ECEA/ECE/Break Coverage staff. This role involves providing quality childcare and educational support within a dynamic early childhood environment. Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children during classroom activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment
• Provide break coverage for lead teachers, maintaining continuity of care and instruction
• Support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education accommodations
• Assist in implementing educational programs aligned with curriculum standards
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members regarding daily activities and individual needs
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and learning spaces
• Document observations and progress notes to support individualized learning plans
• Collaborate with team members to plan and execute age-appropriate activities

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings preferred
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices essential
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education is a plus
• Bilingual skills, especially in English and French, are highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to foster positive relationships with children and colleagues
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with proficiency in computer operation and classroom management software
• Classroom experience that showcases organizational skills and the ability to adapt to various situations is preferred

Pay: $18.25-$21.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
