Job Role

The Echocardiographer role at New Royal Medical and Dental Center (NRMDC) will perform high-quality diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures (echocardiograms) to assist physicians in the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of cardiovascular diseases. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standard of patient care while adhering to UAE healthcare regulations and international protocols. This full-time role reports in person to the Cardiology Head and the NRMDC Senior Management Team (SMT).

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Procedures: Perform Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTE) independently. Assist cardiologists with Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) and Stress Echocardiograms (Exercise and Pharmacological).
• Image Acquisition & Analysis: Obtain high-quality 2D, M-mode, Doppler (color, pulsed, and continuous wave), and tissue Doppler imaging. Quantify cardiac chamber sizes, ventricular function, valvular hemodynamics, and pathology.
• Reporting: Prepare preliminary digital reports, highlighting critical findings. Summarize technical data accurately for the reviewing cardiologist.
• Patient Care: Explain procedures to patients to alleviate anxiety, position patients correctly, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the examination.
• Emergency Response: Recognize life-threatening cardiac structures or pathologies and communicate critical findings immediately to the attending physician.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure ultrasound machines are calibrated, properly sanitized between patients, and report any technical faults.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Maintain accurate patient documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Follow infection control policies and radiation safety protocols (where applicable).

Qualifications & Experience

· Experience: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology, or an equivalent allied health field from an accredited institution.

· Licensure: Must be eligible for or hold a valid healthcare professional license in the UAE (MOHAP).

· Certifications: Active registration with recognized international bodies is highly preferred (e.g., ARDMS / RDCS, CCI, or equivalent European/UK credentials).

· Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of post-qualification clinical experience as an Echocardiographer in a hospital or specialized medical center.

Skills & Knowledge:

· Proficient in the latest echocardiography software and equipment.

· Excellent communication skills in English are mandatory; bilingual proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
