SUMMARY: A leading engineering and project delivery company is seeking an experienced ECI Engineer to join its multidisciplinary engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering electrical, control and instrumentation engineering solutions across industrial and process-related projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 3–5 years of ECI engineering experience who is looking to take ownership of technical deliverables and work on challenging multidisciplinary projects.

POSITION INFO: A leading engineering and project delivery company is seeking an experienced ECI Engineer to join its multidisciplinary engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering electrical, control and instrumentation engineering solutions across industrial and process-related projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 3-5 years of ECI engineering experience who is looking to take ownership of technical deliverables and work on challenging multidisciplinary projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Execute Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (ECI) engineering activities throughout project lifecycles. Develop electrical and instrumentation designs, specifications and engineering documentation. Prepare and review: Single-line diagrams Schematics Cable schedules Instrument indexes I/O lists Instrument data sheets Equipment specifications Control philosophies Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing and equipment selection. Develop and review instrumentation and control system designs. Specify and select electrical, instrumentation and control equipment. Liaise with mechanical, process, piping, civil and other engineering disciplines. Provide technical input during design reviews and project meetings. Assist with procurement, vendor document reviews and technical evaluations. Conduct technical inspections and provide engineering support during construction and commissioning. Support FAT, SAT, commissioning and troubleshooting activities where required. Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable standards, client specifications and project requirements. Participate in site surveys and project implementation activities. Prepare technical reports, calculations and engineering documentation. Provide technical support to clients and project teams. REQUIREMENTS BEng / BSc / BTech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 3-5 years' relevant ECI engineering experience within an engineering consultancy, EPC/EPCM environment or industrial organisation. Experience working on industrial, mining, manufacturing, energy, water, chemical or process plant projects . Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and industrial instrumentation. Experience with electrical and instrumentation design and documentation. Ability to interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings and control system documentation . Knowledge of applicable electrical and instrumentation standards. Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams. Strong technical report-writing and documentation skills. Proficiency in relevant engineering software and design tools. Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required. ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE Experience with PLC, SCADA and DCS systems . Experience with ETAP, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical or similar engineering software . Experience with industrial communication networks. Knowledge of VSDs, MCCs, motor control and protection systems . Experience with instrumentation including pressure, flow, temperature and level measurement. Experience with hazardous-area installations. Exposure to IEC, SANS, ISA and other relevant engineering standards . Please send your cv to
