Ecologist

Insight Global is seeking a Field Ecologist / Surveyor to join their customers team! This position will be 50% remote and 50% travel throughout the Southeastern United States. We are looking for this person to live in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina or Tennessee.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience in environmental fieldwork and technical reporting
• Consulting background
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience with:

o Wetland delineations and plant identification

o Wildlife and habitat assessments

o Environmental permitting

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with GPS/GIS field tools.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
• Familiar with endangered species and protected species. NWPs, jurisdiction determination.
• Must be will to travel frequently in the Southeast States, more the 50% per month, typical 4 to 6 day duration trips
