Ecommerce Admin Support Assistant

Role Overview

We're looking for a detail-obsessed Ecommerce Admin Support Assistant to keep our Shopify and BigCommerce stores accurate and running smoothly. This role is the backbone of our day-to-day operations — clean data, well-presented product images, and websites that are always up to date. You'll work closely with the business owner and be trusted to spot and fix issues before they become problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and update product listings on Shopify and BigCommerce — pricing, stock levels, descriptions, and categories
• Perform data entry and clean up spreadsheets, product data, and customer lists (removing duplicates, standardising formats, correcting errors)
• Create, edit and prepare product images: background removal, cropping, resizing, and optimising for web use
• Create, edit and prepare marketing material for both retail and wholesale customers
• Upload and organise product images and content across both platforms
• Identify and flag data inconsistencies, broken listings, or website errors
• Learn new tools and platforms independently, using AI tools to speed up research and repetitive tasks
• Use AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude) to improve accuracy and speed on day-to-day admin work
• Provide general ecommerce admin support as priorities shift

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years' experience in an ecommerce admin, virtual assistant, or operations support role
• Hands-on experience with Shopify and/or BigCommerce (experience with both is highly regarded)
• Strong Excel skills for data entry, formatting, and cleaning
• Experience creating and editing product images (AI, Canva, Photoroom, or similar)
• Experience using Canva, Word etc for creating material
• Excellent attention to detail — this role depends on accuracy
• Comfortable learning new software and platforms
• Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) for everyday productivity
• Strong written English communication
