Position Summary: Adrianna Papell is looking for an enthusiastic eCommerce & Amazon Associate Buyer to join our eCommerce team. This role is ideal for someone with some eCommerce and Amazon buying experience and who is ready to take the next step in their career while working with industry-leading women's apparel brands. In this role, eCommerce & Amazon Associate Buyer supports the Senior Buyer in building, executing and optimizing the product assortment across Adrianna Papell’s DTC eCommerce business and Amazon Vendor Central. The role combines buying support, inventory and catalog operations, performance analytics, returns insights and cross-functional follow-through. We are looking for who can produce accurate analysis, maintain reliable trackers and systems, and identify risks early to ensure decisions are carried through across teams.

Key Responsibilities: Buying and Assortment Support

  • Support pre-season and in-season assortment planning by category, style, color and size across DTC and Amazon.
  • Analyze demand, net sales, margin, returns, weeks of supply, inventory turn and size selling to recommend buys, reorders, transfers, markdowns and exits.
  • Prepare buy sheets, SKU counts, size curves, receipt plans, reorder recommendations and bulk-order files for Senior Buyer approval.
  • Track receipts, sales and inventory against plan; identify assortment gaps, risks and chase opportunities, accounting for the four-month production cycle.

DTC eCommerce Merchandising and Operations:

  • Monitor product performance and recommend assortment, replenishment and site-merchandising actions.
  • Use BlueCherry and related systems to review inventory, open orders and transfer opportunities; prepare approved operational files.
  • Support pricing and markdown execution and maintain accurate product attributes, category tags and merchandising flags in Salsify.
  • Coordinate with eCommerce, Production, Creative and Operations on delivery timing, availability, samples, content and product issues.

Amazon Vendor Central:

  • Maintain a weekly scorecard by ASIN, style and category covering retail sales, traffic, conversion, average selling price, returns, inventory, paid-media contribution and profitability where available.
  • Identify performance issues related to product, inventory, catalog, content, price, reviews, organic visibility or advertising and recommend actions.
  • Monitor forecasts, purchase orders, fill rate, shortages, out-of-stocks, weeks of supply and aged inventory; reconcile exceptions across Vendor Central, BlueCherry (ERP and PLM) and internal reporting.
  • Maintain catalog and retail readiness, including ASIN-to-SKU mapping, titles, attributes, images, A+ content, variations, browse placement and suppressed listings.
  • Support Amazon SEO, content priorities and agency follow-through; manage item, pricing and restriction notifications.

Analytics Returns and Reporting:

  • Produce recurring reporting on gross and net sales, margin, returns, inventory, weeks of supply, best sellers and underperformers across DTC and Amazon.
  • Translate reporting into recommendations on what to chase, hold, fix, reposition, markdown, transfer or exit.
  • Analyze Loop and Amazon return data, reviews and customer comments to identify fit, quality, content and expectation issues.
  • Partner with Production, Design, eCommerce and the Senior Buyer to document root causes and track corrective actions.

Cross Functional Coordination:

  • Maintain calendars, trackers, meeting notes and action logs with clear owners, due dates and dependencies.
  • Serve as an organized day-to-day liaison among the Senior Buyer, Ecommerce, Amazon agency, Creative, Production, Operations, Finance, Analytics and IT.
  • Document recurring processes and escalate data discrepancies, operational risks and missed commitments promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years in eCommerce, buying support, marketplace operations, retail planning or business analytics; apparel experience preferred.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including lookups, pivot tables, formulas, data cleaning and reconciliation.
  • Ability to interpret sales, inventory, margin, returns and traffic data and translate findings into clear recommendations.
  • Amazon Vendor Central or first-party wholesale experience preferred; familiarity with BlueCherry, Salsify or comparable ERP, PLM and BI tools is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ownership, communication and ability to manage recurring deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
