What they need
A well-established, privately held U.S. manufacturer is seeking an experienced eCommerce & Digital Operations Manager to take ownership of a growing eCommerce business and help drive the company's broader digital and enterprise technology strategy.
This is not a traditional marketing or digital advertising role .
We are looking for someone who understands eCommerce as an operating business and revenue channel and can connect the dots between the customer experience, technology, systems, fulfillment, pricing, operations, and profitability.
You will have significant ownership and visibility within the organization, with the opportunity to build, improve, automate, and scale both the company's online business and its supporting technology infrastructure.
What You'll Own
- Lead and grow the company's eCommerce business , with direct accountability for revenue, profitability, customer experience, and continued growth.
- Manage product pricing, online store updates, product expansion, order workflows, shipping and fulfillment optimization.
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate the customer journey from initial online interaction through order fulfillment.
- Partner closely with operations, engineering, parts, and other internal teams to improve processes and system connectivity.
- Evaluate, implement, and improve enterprise software and digital tools across the organization.
- Drive adoption and integration of systems spanning ERP, eCommerce, customer communication, shipping, fulfillment, workflow automation, and related platforms .
- Identify manual processes and build smarter, scalable solutions through technology and automation.
- Use customer feedback, email communication, and digital channels to improve the online experience and strengthen customer loyalty.
- Take a hands-on approach to solving problems rather than simply managing vendors or delegating technical work.
What We're Looking For
This position requires someone who has actually built, operated, or materially grown an eCommerce business . Experience supporting eCommerce from the sidelines will not be enough.
The strongest candidates will bring:
- Demonstrated success in an eCommerce role where online sales directly contributed to company profitability .
- Strong understanding of the operational side of eCommerce, including pricing, fulfillment, shipping, customer experience, systems, and automation .
- Experience implementing, rolling out, or significantly improving enterprise software such as ERP, CRM, WMS, eCommerce, fulfillment, or similar platforms.
- High technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new software and understand how different systems interact.
- Working knowledge of basic programming concepts and data structures.
- A track record of identifying inefficient or manual processes and using technology to improve them.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- The ability and desire to work hands-on in a fast-moving operating environment .
Especially Valuable Experience
- BigCommerce or similar eCommerce platforms.
- Customer service or customer experience platforms.
- ERP integrations and implementation.
- Shipping and fulfillment technology.
- Workflow and process automation.
- Managing or developing a team.
- Experience within a smaller or mid-sized privately held company where leaders are expected to wear multiple hats.
- Experience with a profitable business where eCommerce was a significant or primary revenue channel.
- Computer science coursework or additional technical education.
The Person
We're looking for someone with grit, ambition, curiosity, and a strong sense of ownership .
You should be comfortable digging into the details, learning how the business actually operates, questioning inefficient processes, and figuring out how technology can make them better.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants to build and own , not simply maintain what already exists.

- Base Salary: $130,000+, depending on experience
- Annual Bonus Opportunity: Significant performance-based bonus (50%-100% of salary)
- Long-Term Incentive: Potential management equity
- PTO: Flexible/unlimited PTO, subject to company policy and manager approval
