Inventure IT is a technology venture firm seeking a vibrant, detail-oriented ecommerce professional in historic downtown Savannah. This role is a hands-on technical position focused on building, maintaining, and improving scalable ecommerce solutions across our portfolio of companies, with deep hands-on work in Shopify customization and configuration, API integrations, and custom application development.

Our ecommerce team is creative-heavy, moves fast, and needs a dependable technical team member who enjoys solving problems, implementing solutions, and supporting ongoing ecommerce projects. Working within our creative team, this role serves as a technical bridge between creative and development, helping translate project needs into functional solutions and coordinating with developers when needed.

What are you doing during your first two weeks?

• Meet the team and get settled in.
• Get familiar with our tools: Slack, Google Workspace, Asana and our ecommerce platforms.
• Review our current lineup of projects and learn about our companies, products, systems, and development frameworks.
• Attend planning meetings with stakeholder teams, review assigned tasks, and begin collaborating with project managers and development team members.
• Review existing Shopify stores, configurations, and current development workflows to become familiar with our ecommerce environments.

What are you doing during your first full month?

• Begin independently completing assigned Shopify development tasks within active ecommerce projects.
• Begin providing technical support for client projects, responding to incoming support tickets, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions.
• Contribute to an integration, automation, or ecommerce development project as part of a larger team initiative.
• Review and document existing API connectors and automation workflows, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.

What are you doing during your first three months?

• Contribute consistently to multiple ecommerce and platform projects, both internal and external, as a valued member of the development team.
• Establish strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external implementation partners.
• Get in the groove of managing your time, contributing to projects, and following our agile methodologies to become a productive and dependable member of our technical team.
• Build confidence and independence in completing assigned development tasks, troubleshooting issues, and supporting ongoing ecommerce improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify storefronts, integrations, APIs, automation workflows, and applications to improve platform functionality.
• Build and maintain API connector integrations and automation solutions, including Shopify Flow workflows and Matrixify-based implementations.
• Support Shopify integrations with NetSuite and other third-party platforms, using API knowledge to troubleshoot, maintain, and implement integration solutions.
• Work with Shopify’s Liquid, Hydrogen, and Oxygen frameworks across development, customization, and platform configuration.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining Amazon storefronts and marketplace presence, including catalog configuration, product detail page optimization, brand storefront buildout, and ongoing marketplace administration.
• Provide ongoing technical support for client projects, responding to incoming support tickets, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to keep projects running smoothly.
• Work with project managers and team members to understand requirements and implement technical solutions.
• Collaborate with internal team members and external development partners as needed.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to continuously improve ecommerce functionality across the portfolio.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, perform testing, and support ongoing website maintenance and improvements.
• Document development work and follow established project workflows and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
• 3 or more years of hands-on experience working within the Shopify platform, including Liquid and familiarity with Hydrogen and Oxygen without the requirement of AI.
• Experience customizing Shopify themes and working with Shopify applications without the requirement of AI.
• Experience with Shopify Flow, API integrations, or ecommerce automation tools preferred without the requirement of AI.
• Experience with Amazon marketplace operations preferred, including catalog setup, product detail page customization, and marketplace configuration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively within tight turnaround times.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and follow established development processes.
• Ability to utilize AI tools independently, appropriately, and responsibly.

Preferred Skills

• Shopify theme customization and app configuration.
• Liquid / Hydrogen / Oxygen framework familiarity.
• Experience with custom application development or AI-assisted development tools, with the ability to build and implement solutions that support ecommerce functionality.
• API integration and automation.
• Familiarity with Amazon marketplace operations, including product and catalog management, and ecommerce automation tools.
• Familiarity with NetSuite integrations and the ability to quickly learn new integration platforms.
• .NET / C# development.
• SQL Server familiarity.
• Ecommerce development and technical support.
• Familiarity with Matrixify for automation.
• Familiarity with Asana, Autotask, or similar software for project management, task tracking, and technical support ticket workflows.
• Google Analytics and Merchant Center.

Work Location & Schedule

You must be able to commute to the office in the 31401 postal code. Office hours are expected typically from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. After an initial evaluation period, working remotely is available some days during the work week. There are many days that you must physically be in the office while working.
