Reports to: Ecommerce Manager F1 Authentics

Job Role:

The eCommerce Executive is responsible for how the F1 Authentics range is presented and discovered online. The role turns the trading plan, product range and campaign priorities into clear, commercially effective customer journeys that improve conversion, product discovery and customer experience.

Working closely with the eCommerce Manager, Product, Marketing, Content and Operations teams, the eCommerce Executive ensures the website remains accurate, current, easy to shop and optimised for organic and AI-powered search and discovery. The role combines day-to-day onsite execution with commercial analysis, performance reporting and continual optimisation, using data and customer insight to identify opportunities, inform decisions and demonstrate the impact of merchandising activity.

Key Responsibilities:

Onsite Merchandising and Trading

  • Implement the F1 Authentics trading plan across the homepage, navigation, collections, search, product pages and campaign landing pages.
  • Order and group products to support launches, sporting moments, campaigns, customer missions and commercial priorities.
  • Maintain a strong balance of hero products, accessible price points, newness and relevant cross-sell opportunities.
  • Ensure onsite content, pricing, availability messages, lead times and promotional information are accurate.
  • Respond quickly to stock, performance and campaign changes while maintaining a clear and intentional customer journey.

Range and Product Discovery

  • Work with the eCommerce Manager and Product teams to understand the range plan, stock position, launches and product priorities.
  • Improve product categorisation, tagging, filters, search terms, recommendations and related-product journeys.
  • Identify gaps, duplication, slow-moving ranges and missed merchandising opportunities.
  • Create relevant edits, collections and storytelling that help customers understand the breadth and authenticity of the range.
  • Ensure new products are discoverable from launch and correctly positioned within the wider site.

Conversion and Customer Experience

  • Use onsite and product performance data to identify opportunities to improve conversion, engagement and average order value.
  • Review customer behaviour, search data, navigation paths and feedback to identify friction and missed demand.
  • Recommend and implement practical conversion-rate improvements with the eCommerce Manager and development partners.
  • Develop and execute continual testing of page layouts, navigation, messaging, recommendations and promotional mechanics, measuring results and applying learnings to future activity.
  • Work with Customer Service to understand recurring website or product-information issues and improve the onsite experience.

Performance Analytics and Insight

  • Monitor and analyse key ecommerce performance metrics, including revenue, conversion, average order value, product and collection performance, customer behaviour and onsite search.
  • Use data to identify trends, opportunities and areas of underperformance, translating insight into clear merchandising actions and recommendations.
  • Evaluate the impact of merchandising changes, campaigns, launches and onsite activity, using pre- and post-activity analysis where appropriate.
  • Build and maintain regular reporting that gives the eCommerce Manager and wider team a clear view of website and merchandising performance.
  • Share key insights, results and recommendations with the wider eCommerce, Product and Marketing teams, helping to inform future trading, campaign and range decisions.
  • Develop a test-and-learn approach, using performance data to form hypotheses, measure outcomes and continually improve customer experience.

SEO and Content Quality

  • Apply agreed organic and AI-powered search and discovery principles, including SEO and GEO, to collection pages, navigation, product presentation and onsite content.
  • Work with Content and Marketing teams to ensure copy and assets support both product discovery and brand presentation.
  • Maintain consistent merchandising and content standards across desktop and mobile journeys.
  • Complete regular site checks and resolve inaccurate, outdated or poorly presented content.
  • Closely monitor global competitor sites/rankings and share findings with the wider team.

Campaign and Launch Delivery

  • Translate campaign briefs into effective onsite execution, with clear landing pages, product priorities, customer routes and tracking links.
  • Coordinate launch requirements and deadlines across Ecommerce, Product, Marketing, Content and Operations.
  • Monitor campaign and launch performance against agreed objectives, identifying opportunities to optimise activity in-flight and completing post-launch analysis to capture results and learnings.
  • Provide clear updates on readiness, performance, issues, actions and results, sharing relevant insights and learnings with the wider team.

Measures of Success

  • Improvement in F1 Authentics conversion rate and average order value.
  • Growth in product discovery, collection engagement and cross-sell performance.
  • Accurate, current and commercially effective onsite presentation.
  • New products and campaigns launch on time with strong visibility.
  • Reduction in avoidable website, navigation and product-information issues.
  • Evidence that testing and data-led decisions are delivering measurable improvements to customer and commercial performance.
  • Regular, accurate reporting of ecommerce and merchandising performance, with clear insights and recommended actions.
  • Clear communication of campaign, launch and merchandising results and learnings to the wider team.

Skills

  • Strong ecommerce merchandising and commercial judgement.
  • Excellent attention to detail across product information, navigation and visual presentation.
  • Strong analytical capability, with confidence interpreting ecommerce and customer data, identifying trends and translating insight into clear commercial actions.
  • Understanding of conversion-rate optimisation, organic and AI-powered search and discovery, and ecommerce customer journeys.
  • Strong organisation and the ability to manage a fast-moving launch and campaign calendar.
  • Clear cross-functional communication, with confidence coordinating multiple contributors and presenting performance, insights and recommendations to both ecommerce specialists and the wider business.
  • Experience with Shopify, ecommerce analytics and reporting platforms, search and merchandising tools, or premium retail would be advantageous.
