What they need
E-commerce Manager, Zipster (Amsterdam, Europe)
Zipster is an Amsterdam-based clothing brand creating practical, beautifully designed essentials for modern families. From our signature baby zip-up sleepsuits to children’s clothing, licensed collections and a strong, growing breastfeeding collection, we make products that combine comfort, style and everyday practicality.
Our range has grown significantly in our five years of business. We’re moving from a small, focused catalogue to a broad offering with thousands of SKUs across different categories, collections and customer needs. We’re looking for an experienced Ecommerce Manager to support our fast growth and growing customer base.
The role
You’ll own Zipster’s ecommerce website from strategy through to day-to-day execution. Your focus will be increasing conversion, revenue and average order value, while creating a shopping experience that clearly communicates our brand and helps customers find the right products.
A key part of the role will be evolving a website built around a smaller catalogue into one that successfully supports thousands of SKUs. You’ll rethink navigation, collection structure, search, filtering and merchandising so our growing range feels intuitive to shop.
This is a hands-on role. You’ll identify opportunities, prioritise improvements and implement changes yourself. An early priority will be leading a website revamp that improves both commercial performance and how we tell the Zipster story.
You’ll report directly to the Founder and work closely with our team and external agencies across email, paid media and other channels to create a connected customer journey.
What you’ll own
- Conversion rate optimisation and AOV, through a structured, continuous testing programme that increases revenue incrementally
- Running our Shopify Plus store across all markets: merchandising, collections, product pages, bundles
- Product drops, character collab launches and promotions, live on time in every market
- Optimisation for a larger catalogue: Develop navigation, collection structures, search and filters that help customers browse thousands of SKUs across baby, children’s and breastfeeding clothing.
- Localisation, and our move from country domains to one international domain
- Product feeds and Google Merchant Center health
- Weekly store reporting by market
- Connection of the customer journey: You’ll work with our Klaviyo, paid media and other agency partners to align landing pages, campaigns, promotions and onsite messaging.
- Integration of AI tools into our processes
Paid media, product content and email stay with our specialist partners. You’ll work closely with them, but you won’t own those channels.
What you bring
- At least 4 years of hands-on, brand-side DTC e-commerce experience, owning a store’s numbers
- Deep Shopify knowledge (Plus ideally), comfortably building pages, performing A/B tests and integrating apps and sales channels
- Experience running a store across several European markets
- Strong with data: GA4, Shopify analytics, Triple Whale or similar
- Fluent English. Other European languages are a plus.
- You use AI tools every day to get more done
Package
- €50,000–€65,000 annual salary OTE, depending on experience
- Flexibility to shape the role as a full-time or part-time position, depending on the right candidate.
- Direct access to the co-founders and the opportunity to influence a growing international brand.
- Real ownership, room to implement your ideas and a clear connection between your work and business results.
- Office on the Herengracht in Central Amsterdam
