Ecommerce Operations Associate (Entry-Level)

About the role

We run a growing online store with a small team of 3 to 4 people in Midtown. We’re looking for a sharp recent grad to run the operations behind it: inventory, suppliers, orders, and customers. You’ll own real problems from week one and work directly alongside the people making the decisions. If you like figuring out how things work and then making them work better, this is a great first job.

What you’ll do

• Own inventory and purchasing: Track stock across our sales channels and fulfillment partners, spot shortages before they happen, prepare purchase orders, and reconcile incoming shipments against what we ordered.
• Manage suppliers and fulfillment partners: Be the point person for availability, timelines, and delivery issues. Chase down delays, lost or damaged shipments, and returns, and keep clear records of everything outstanding.
• Look after our customers: Handle support tickets and phone calls, investigate order issues, and find practical solutions.
• Keep the business accurate: Make sure product information, pricing, and availability are right everywhere, and catch discrepancies before customers do.
• Find and fix problems: Notice recurring issues, work out the root cause, and escalate what needs escalating.

Who you are

• You’ve recently graduated, or are about to, with a bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, science, engineering, business, commerce, economics, or a related field, with a strong academic record.
• You’re comfortable with numbers and quick to spot when something doesn’t add up.
• You’re a self-starter who follows things through to resolution without being reminded.
• You communicate clearly in writing and on the phone.
• You pick things up fast and like variety.

No ecommerce or operations experience needed. We’ll teach you the tools, the systems, and the industry. We hire for judgment and learning speed.
