Ecommerce SEO Virtual Assistant

Job Summary:
We're looking to add an experienced Shopify SEO Specialist to help optimize our ecommerce website for search visibility, AI-driven search results, and conversion performance. The role includes product and category page optimization, technical SEO, and emerging AI search optimization (AEO) across a large product catalog. You'll have hands-on Shopify SEO experience and keep pace with modern search trends, including AI answer engines like ChatGPT and Google AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Revise and optimize product titles, descriptions, and page structure for stronger search performance
• Restructure product content into skimmable sections with clear benefits, use cases, and FAQs
• Solve technical SEO issues, including duplicate URL problems between collections and products
• Enhance site structure, crawlability, and indexing setup, including sitemaps
• Raise Core Web Vitals, page speed, and mobile performance
• Add schema markup, including Product, Review, and FAQ schema
• Reinforce internal linking across products, categories, and content guides
• Publish keyword-targeted, SEO-rich content on category and collection pages
• Organize pages for AI search visibility, with clear definitions, FAQs, and comparison content
• Create and execute a scalable SEO roadmap across a large product catalog (300+ SKUs)
• Uncover quick wins and high-impact optimization opportunities
• Research and put forward commercial and long-tail keyword opportunities
• Optimize content for conversational and AI-driven search queries

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven background in Shopify SEO for ecommerce websites
• Strong grasp of technical SEO, including site structure, crawlability, and Core Web Vitals
• Experience adding schema markup (Product, Review, FAQ)
• Knowledge of modern SEO practices, including AI search optimization (AEO)
• Experience writing and optimizing product and category page content
• Steady, precise, and able to work solo
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience optimizing large product catalogs (hundreds of SKUs)
• Experience with D2C or B2B ecommerce brands
• Familiarity with conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles
• Experience organizing content for AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Google AI)
• Ability to balance multiple projects at once
