Are you a passionate Early Childhood Teacher looking for a part-time opportunity within a supportive, experienced team?

Una Paddington is seeking a second Early Childhood Teacher to join our service 2–3 days per week on a 6-month maternity leave contract.

Working alongside our existing ECT and leadership team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a high-quality Kindergarten program, build meaningful relationships with children and families, and support an engaging curriculum that reflects children’s interests, strengths and individual learning journeys.

About Una

At Una, our approach to early childhood education is guided by five key principles:

  • Nature Grows Us – Children thrive through meaningful connections with nature.
  • Let Them Lead – We support children to lead their learning through curiosity, exploration and independence.
  • Care for Your Forever Home – We promote lifelong wellbeing, health and connection.
  • Diversity Enriches All – We value and celebrate the diversity of every child, family and educator.
  • A Little Wild Does a Lot of Good – We believe childhood should include adventure, creativity, challenge and fun.

About the Role

As our second ECT, you will:

  • Develop meaningful and responsive relationships with children and families.
  • Contribute to observations, documentation and the cycle of planning.
  • Support children's individual learning, development and transition to school.
  • Embed inclusive, child-led and nature-based learning opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the EYLF, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and National Quality Framework.
  • Contribute positively to the culture and professional practice of the service.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds an approved Bachelor of Early Childhood Education qualification, or equivalent recognised by ACECQA.
  • Has a current Queensland Working with Children Blue Card.
  • Has current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
  • Has completed relevant Child Protection and Child Safety training.
  • Has a genuine passion for early childhood education and strong knowledge of contemporary curriculum and pedagogy.
  • Builds warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children.
  • Values teamwork, communication and reflective practice.
  • Is committed to creating an inclusive, safe and engaging learning environment.

Our Commitment to Child Safety

At Una, the safety, wellbeing and rights of children are at the centre of everything we do. We are committed to creating and maintaining child-safe environments and expect all team members to actively uphold our Child Safe Standards, Code of Conduct, professional boundaries and child protection responsibilities.

All appointments are subject to satisfactory completion of our recruitment and child-safety screening requirements.

Why Join Una?

  • 2–3 days per week – ideal for someone seeking genuine work-life balance.
  • 6-month maternity leave contract with the opportunity to become part of the wider Una team.
  • Work alongside an experienced ECT and supportive leadership team.
  • Collaborative and values-driven workplace.
  • Ongoing professional development and mentoring.
  • Employee childcare discount.
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Support from an experienced Operations and Leadership team.
