EDI Coordinator

About the Role

A growing apparel manufacturer is seeking a detail-oriented EDI Coordinator to join their team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in EDI management for manufacturers representing multiple brands and working with major off-price and non-eCommerce retailers. You will be responsible for the daily processing of EDI orders, coordinating logistics, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods. This is an onsite Temp-To-Hire role near City of Industry/Walnut, CA ; Must be ok with in house Onsite 5 days a week-9am-6pm Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Process and oversee daily EDI orders, ensuring all transactions meet customer specifications and compliance standards.
• Manage outbound shipments: issue pick tickets, prepare shipping documentation, and verify order fulfillment from start to finish.
• Coordinate logistics to ensure prompt deliveries and proactively resolve shipment or compliance issues.
• Liaise directly with major retailers (such as Nordstrom Rack and Ross) and other EDI accounts to maintain seamless transaction flow.
• Handle multiple brands concurrently, collaborating with internal teams and external partners as needed.
• Apply working knowledge of EDI transaction sets (e.g.,850/810/856/940/945) to support daily operations.
• Troubleshoot EDI errors and discrepancies, working with IT or third-party providers to resolve technical issues.
• Demonstrate adaptability by independently managing all EDI processes after a one-month training period.

Qualifications

• Proficient understanding of EDI transactions, standards, and order processing platforms.

Required Skills

• Expertise in outbound shipping processes, logistics management, and retailer compliance.
• Direct experience working with major retailers is highly desirable.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
• Self-driven and able to take full ownership of the EDI process following initial training.

Pay range

Starting at $30 an hour
