EDIFACT / VB.NET Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced EDIFACT / VB.NET Developer with strong hands-on experience in EDIFACT, VB.NET, and SQL Server . The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting applications and integrations involving EDIFACT message processing and business workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using VB.NET .
• Work extensively with EDIFACT standards, message formats, mapping, validation, and processing.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain SQL Server queries, stored procedures, functions, and database components.
• Troubleshoot application and integration issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support EDIFACT interfaces, message processing, and integration-related issues.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA, and other technical teams to deliver solutions.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure quality and reliability.
• Participate in production support and resolve technical issues within agreed timelines.
• Document technical solutions, integration flows, and application changes.

Requirements

Required Skills – Must Have

• Strong hands-on experience with EDIFACT .
• Strong development experience in VB.NET .
• Strong experience with SQL Server , including queries and stored procedures.
• Good understanding of application development, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to understand existing code and integration flows and make enhancements independently.

Nice to Have

• Experience with C# .
• Experience with ASP.NET .
• Exposure to integration/API-based development.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Candidate Profile

• Good technical communication and ability to explain technical solutions clearly.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Experience working on enterprise applications and production support would be an advantage.
