MediaEdge Publishing Inc. is looking for a full-time editor to work in their Winnipeg office.

Key responsibilities include:

· Overseeing the content, layout and proofing process for several publications from start to finish

· Editing articles and other editorial content

· Communicating and working with clients on several publications and other projects

· Managing multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently in order to meet multiple deadlines

· Proofreading ads and other sales material as needed

Qualifications

The successful candidate requires a post-secondary degree with an emphasis on English or journalism, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Past editing experience is an asset.

Required skills and abilities:

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent writing, editing and proofreading abilities

· Excellent organizational skills

· Strong working ability with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat

· Must be able to work as part of a team

· Must be a quick learner and able to work in an established system

· Must be able to multitask and work under pressure

· Familiarity with Canadian Press style is an asset
