Editorial Content Intern (Consumer Tech & Lifestyle)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a curious, thoughtful, and detail-oriented Editorial Content Intern to help create useful, honest, and engaging product content for an upcoming consumer discovery and retail platform.

You will spend time with selected consumer technology, digital, and lifestyle products, then turn your first-hand experience into clear and well-researched articles. Our content focuses not only on what a product does, but also on what it is like to live with, who it is suitable for, and where it may fall short.

Writing and product photography will be the main focus of this role. You may occasionally assist with simple short-form videos, but appearing on camera is entirely optional.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Use and evaluate selected products in real-life scenarios.
• Research product specifications, competing options, market context, and user needs.
• Write product reviews, hands-on impressions, comparisons, buying guides, and practical how-to articles.
• Translate technical features into clear benefits, limitations, and everyday use cases.
• Take and edit simple product and lifestyle photographs to support each story.
• Fact-check your work and revise drafts based on editorial feedback.
• Prepare and upload content drafts to our publishing platform for review.
• Occasionally assist with simple short-form product videos when required.
• Contribute story ideas and help shape the editorial voice of a platform before its official launch.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Strong written English; additional language ability is welcome.
• Curious about products and attentive to small details in the user experience.
• Able to form and explain an independent point of view, rather than simply repeating product specifications or marketing claims.
• Comfortable researching unfamiliar topics and verifying facts.
• Responsible, organised, and receptive to editorial feedback.
• Basic photography or image-editing ability.
• Familiarity with Canva, Lightroom, Photoshop, CapCut, or similar tools is helpful but not required.
• Students from any academic discipline are welcome to apply.
• Prior editorial experience is not required, but writing samples are essential.
