Editorial Executive

Role & responsibilities

• Research and write high-quality editorial content for magazines, websites, newsletters, and digital platforms.
• Develop industry-focused articles, news stories, features, interviews, and opinion pieces related to exhibitions, events, MICE, travel, and business.
• Conduct research, fact-checking, and source verification to ensure accuracy and credibility.
• Write and edit content for LinkedIn, Instagram, newsletters, press releases, and other social media platforms.
• Conduct and support interviews with industry leaders, organisers, associations, and key stakeholders.
• Convert interviews, event discussions, and industry inputs into well-structured editorial stories.
• Cover trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, launches, and industry events and prepare post-event reports.
• Monitor industry news, trends, developments, and competitor publications to identify relevant story opportunities.
• Create SEO-friendly website content, including articles, blogs, headlines, captions, and meta descriptions.
• Write promotional and marketing copy for events, campaigns, brochures, advertisements, sponsorship proposals, and emailers.
• Collaborate with the design, social media, sales, and editorial teams to develop integrated content.
• Proofread and edit content for grammar, clarity, tone, structure, and consistency.
• Maintain an organised content calendar and editorial pipeline to ensure timely delivery.
• Develop creative headlines, story angles, hooks, captions, and campaign concepts.
• Assist in developing content for podcasts, videos, reels, and other multimedia formats.
• Maintain the publication's editorial style, tone, and brand voice across platforms.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to collect information, images, quotes, and supporting material.
• Ensure all assigned content is delivered within deadlines and according to editorial standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification: Graduate/Postgraduate in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience: 13 years of experience in content writing, journalism, editorial, media, publishing, or communications. Freshers with strong writing skills may also be considered.
• Excellent English writing, editing, proofreading, and research skills.
• Strong ability to write news reports, feature articles, interviews, blogs, social media content, newsletters, and press releases.
• Good understanding of digital content and social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn and Instagram.
• Ability to research industry trends and convert information into engaging, well-structured content.
• Candidates with experience in B2B media, exhibitions, events, MICE, trade publications, travel, or business journalism will be preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for coordinating with industry professionals and conducting interviews.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Basic knowledge of SEO and digital publishing will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted content tools, CMS platforms, Canva, or other digital content tools is an added advantage.
• Should be creative, detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to learn.
• Candidates based in Delhi/NCR or willing to work from the office will be preferred.
