Editorial Intern

The Editorial Intern is primarily responsible for assisting the content team with quality control and streamlining our contractor processes. In addition to these tasks, the role oversees other administrative duties related to content production for Launch That projects.

Day-to-Day

• QC live content: The intern will use their grammar, editorial and fact-checking skills to ensure that edited and live content published on the site is accurate, free of typos, adheres to LT style, and is correctly formatted, among other quality-control measures.
• Assist with vendor projects: The intern will assist the Project Manager in coordinating content projects with content vendors.
• Execute audits: The intern will assist the Senior Content Editor with content audits, including statistical, content and style updates.
• Video editing: The intern will assist with adding b-roll to videos and editing them for social media distribution.
• Utilize AI tools within company parameters, where appropriate, to improve efficiency, support decision-making, and enhance work quality.
• Work collaboratively with team members within your department and across departments to gain diverse viewpoints. This is an essential investment into our culture and includes identifying needs, pooling strengths and insights and evaluating data for inclusive goal completion to benefit the team and the company's strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Upperclassman, recent graduate or someone looking to make a career change.

• Formal education in a writing-intensive discipline (journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, English or similar).

• Intermediate to advanced AI skills and knowledge of LLMs, including Claude, ChatGPT and others.

• Previous internship or work experience in a professional editing environment.

• Passion for grammar and accuracy.

• Exceptional understanding of language with a curiosity for knowledge and a meticulous eye for detail.

• Mastery of AP style.

Launch That is a digital marketing company based in downtown Orlando. Since 2007, we have built high performing digital brands that connect people to valuable resources.

This part-time internship runs for a 4-month term, offering up to 29 hours of work per week. The position pays $15.00 per hour. Designed as a hybrid role, it includes on-site collaboration from Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility of remote work on Fridays.
