EDM Operator

United Performance Metal's rapidly growing Advanced Solutions Center is looking to add an EDM Operator to their 2nd and weekend shift teams. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Starting Wage: $23 - $25, depending on experience 2nd Shift Hours: Monday - Thursday 3:00pm - 1:30am Location: Hamilton, OH, On-site ~~ $1,000 Sign-On Bonus after 90-days~~ As An EDM Operator, You Will

• Work closely with customer manufacturing specifications to ensure accurate machine programming.
• Set up, troubleshoot, and operate wire EDMs according to strict tolerances.
• Examine and measure completed units, identifying defects and ensuring adherence to specifications; adjust machine controls to resolve production errors
• Exercise strong problem-solving ability for the inspection and repair of machinery
• Other duties as assigned

Skills And Experience For Success

• 2+ years of experience using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools, and machines
• Ability to proficiently set up and use measuring equipment including CMM, CAD-CAM, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Calipers, Profilometers, etc.
• Expert in reading and interpreting blueprints and design sketches
• Ability to create and maintain updated work processes related to machining
• Familiar with warehouse, manufacturing, or production planning environments
