Edm Operator (Tool Room)

Role & responsibilities

• Operate Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) / Die-Sinking EDM machines.
• Set up jobs, electrodes, fixtures and workpieces correctly.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, specifications and machining instructions.
• Select suitable EDM parameters such as current, pulse-on time, pulse-off time, voltage and flushing conditions.
• Perform roughing, semi-finishing and finishing operations.
• Maintain required machining accuracy and surface finish.
• Check electrode dimensions and condition before machining.
• Properly align and set electrodes and workpieces.
• Perform job referencing and zero setting accurately.
• Maintain correct electrode-to-workpiece clearance.
• Ensure proper clamping and alignment to avoid machining errors.
