Edu-Tech Intern – Robotics, Coding & School Success

About the role

Walnut Education is seeking an enthusiastic Edu-Tech Intern – Robotics, Coding & School Success to support growing education programmes in Malaysia. This is a hands-on internship where you will gain exposure to coding and robotics education, student and teacher training, school programme implementation, EdTech products and platforms, STEM events and robotics competitions, and customer and partner success. Comprehensive training on Walnut's products, curriculum and platforms will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in facilitating coding, robotics and STEM lessons for primary and secondary school students
• Guide students during hands-on projects, coding exercises and robotics activities
• Support trainers and teachers during workshops, robotics clubs and school programmes
• Assist with training teachers on Walnut's curriculum, teaching platform and robotics products
• Help prepare training materials, equipment and demonstrations
• Support the rollout of Walnut programmes in Malaysian schools and assist with programme onboarding, pilot programmes, STEM Days, workshops and school activities
• Communicate with teachers, schools and education partners and follow up on programme progress
• Learn how to operate Walnut's robotics products and software and prepare robotics kits and equipment for lessons, demonstrations and events
• Support STEM Days, workshops, exhibitions and school demonstrations
• Assist in preparing training materials, presentations and programme reports

• Has a strong interest in education, technology, coding, robotics or STEM
• Enjoys working with students and teachers
• Is willing to learn and try new things
• Is comfortable communicating and presenting to others
• Is patient, responsible and approachable
• Is proactive and able to work independently when required
• Enjoys hands-on activities rather than only desk-based work
• Is comfortable travelling to schools or education events within Malaysia when required
• Students from backgrounds such as Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Robotics, STEM-related fields, Business, Communications, Psychology or other related disciplines
