Role Description The Education Counselor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kollam. The Education Counselor will meet with students and families to understand academic goals, provide guidance on suitable courses and institutions, and support them in making informed educational and career decisions. Responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, assessing student interests and strengths, explaining different education pathways, and maintaining accurate records of student interactions. The role also involves organizing information sessions, staying updated on education trends and admission requirements, and collaborating with colleagues to improve counseling tools and materials. The Counselor is expected to offer clear, unbiased advice and ensure a supportive, professional experience for every student.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide Educational Consulting and informed guidance on programs, institutions, and academic pathways.
• Strong Student Counseling skills, including active listening, empathy, and personalized support.
• Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain options clearly to students and families.
• Experience or training in Career Counseling, helping students align education choices with career goals.
• Sound understanding of the Education sector, admission processes, and current academic trends.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; a relevant certification in counseling is an advantage.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple student cases and maintain accurate documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and maintain professional ethics and confidentiality.
