What You'll Do

Education department interns will:

• Help plan, prepare for, and implement arts-based educational experiences for diverse audiences.
• Learn about daily practices within the museum profession.
• Further develop their appreciation and understanding of masterworks on view in the galleries.
• Facilitate a 30-minute gallery discussion at the end of the internship cycle, informed by provided readings, supervised research, and practice sessions.

Program Dates & Pay

• Session dates: January 15 – May 1 (15 weeks / 150 hours).
• Applications open: October 1.
• Applications close: October 31.
• Pay rate: $15.00 per hour.

• A resume describing any work or extracurricular experience.
• A cover letter explaining what you hope to gain from participating in the Kimbell internship program.
• An unofficial transcript.
• Two letters of recommendation.
• Four academic or professional references.
