Education Project Manager

The Education Project Manage r serves as the central coordination and governance lead across the Education Sector, school operators, development, procurement, and corporate support functions. Functioning as the sector's operational control tower, the role oversees school readiness, cross-functional stakeholder coordination, operational governance, risk management, incident reporting, and escalation processes to ensure schools are delivered, licensed, opened, and operated in full accordance with agreed standards, timelines, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

• Serve as the primary Education Sector point of contact for operational coordination with school operators, leadership teams, and internal support functions, tracking commitments, issues, and service-level compliance.
• Coordinate school readiness and handover activities across Development, Procurement, IT, Facilities, and Operators, monitoring handover milestones, FF&E readiness, and maintaining sector status dashboards.
• Consolidate operational requirements from schools and operators, liaising with Procurement to track the delivery, installation, and commissioning of necessary learning resources and equipment.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive governance processes and operating procedures covering school openings, facilities coordination, security, transportation, IT systems, and vendor management.
• Manage the Education Sector Operational Risk Management Framework, maintaining operational risk registers across school operations, student activities, educational trips, transportation, and safeguarding.
• Own the sector incident management and reporting framework, ensuring all operational incidents are classified, logged, escalated, tracked, and reviewed for preventive action.
• Track school licensing readiness and regulatory requirements in coordination with Legal, Ministry of Education representatives, and international accreditation bodies.
• Liaise with external stakeholders and community support services to resolve operational dependencies and ensure seamless access support for all school locations.
• Escalate critical operational risks, procurement delays, and licensing bottlenecks promptly to Education leadership to safeguard target school opening dates.

- Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Previous Experience:

• 10-15 years of experience in PMO, operational management, educational governance, or large-scale project coordination.
• Experience within education sectors, real estate development, community management, or complex service organizations is highly preferred.

- Special requirements:

• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills across diverse internal and external groups.
• Proven track record in operational risk management, incident handling, and governance framework design.
• Strong planning, analytical, reporting, and structured escalation management capabilities.
• Deep understanding of operational readiness frameworks, handover protocols, and service-level monitoring.
