Education Research Consulting Sr, Associate/Assoicate, Research Security/Export Control

For our client, we are seeking a Education Research Consulting Sr, Associate/Assoicate, Research Security/Export Control to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.

This role will support consulting engagements focused on research security, export control, and institutional governance within higher education and related research settings. The position will partner closely with client leaders and staff to assess current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement practical solutions that strengthen compliance and operational effectiveness. It will also involve guiding junior team members and helping ensure successful project delivery across multiple stakeholders.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $100,000 – $145,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead consulting projects on research security, export control, and institutional governance
• Use methodologies and analytics tools to support project implementation
• Collaborate with client staff and leadership to improve organizational effectiveness
• Manage junior team members to help ensure project success
• Implement comprehensive solutions to improve research security administration processes

Qualifications

• Current U.S. work authorization required
• Minimum 3 years of experience in consulting, higher education, healthcare, or related fields
• Direct experience in research security or export control at a university, hospital, or research institute
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Willingness to travel up to 50% with a focus on client needs and employee inclusivity
• Export Compliance Professional (ECoP®) certification preferred
