Educational Assistant (Elementary Section)

DSC is inviting applications for the position of Educational Assistant in the Elementary Section. The position will start immediately and it is a full time position.

Responsibilities

• supervising in the morning, recess and after school as assigned
• taking students to and picking students up from PE, the Library, and the Health Room
• supporting students and the program teacher by attending music and international language classes
• taking bus students to the courtyard at the end of the school day
• taking student to ECAs as needed
• helping the classroom teacher with classroom routines
• covering homeroom and morning routines when a teacher is away
• attendingfieldtrips with the class or within the Elementary section as assigned by the Principal
• assisting the teacher as needed
• assisting students as needed under teacher instruction
• assisting with the preparation of learning materials and classroom decorations
• assisting with the preparation of DSCE events as assigned by the Vice Principal (Elementary) or Principal (Elementary)
• assisting with small group activities, academic intervention, and skill practise as needed under teacher instruction

Requirements

• Secondary School Graduate or above
• Be able to work with students, staff and parents in a friendly and respectful manner
• Good Command of written and spoken English and be familiar with computer word processing
• Energetic and easy going
• Willing to learn and new skills
• Team Player
• School work experience is preferred
• Fresh Graduate will also be considered
