What they need

At Maryland Care and Early Education Centre, we're passionate about creating a place where children feel safe, families feel connected, and educators feel valued. We're looking for a caring, enthusiastic Diploma Qualified Educator to join our warm, supportive team!

* What you'll do

  • Create engaging learning experiences inspired by children's interests.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children and families.
  • Support children's learning, wellbeing and development.
  • Contribute to programming, documentation and continuous improvement.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive environment where everyone belongs.

* What you'll bring

  • A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification.
  • A current Working with Children Check.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications, including HLTAID012 or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the EYLF and NQS.
  • A positive attitude, strong communication skills and a genuine love of early learning.

Graduate Diploma qualifications will be considered where the underlying Bachelor degree is relevant and the qualification pathway meets ECT requirements.

* What our children want from their new educator

We asked our little people what matters most, and here's what they told us:

  • Play with me!
  • Be friendly and kind.
  • Have fun with me.
  • Be nice to me.
  • Eat with me.
  • Give me cuddles.
  • Pat me when I go to sleep.

It's the little things that make the biggest difference. Our children want someone who makes them feel safe, loved and valued.

* The perks

  • Dedicated non-contact programming and documentation time.
  • Paid professional development, mentoring and further study opportunities.
  • Paid staff and room meetings.
  • Christmas shutdown period (permanent staff use leave entitlements).
  • Paid team-building and bonding activities.
  • A supportive Management Committee that values your ideas.
  • A community-focused, not-for-profit workplace where relationships come first.

* A little about us

We've been part of our local community for almost 40 years! As a community-run, not-for-profit Centre, we're proud to provide quality early education in a welcoming environment where children, families and educators thrive.

* Ready to grow with us?

If you're passionate about early learning and believe children always come first, we'd love to hear from you!

Come join us and make a difference, one little moment at a time!
