Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) Data Modeler with strong expertise in designing and maintaining enterprise-scale data models for banking data warehouses. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in enterprise data modeling, data warehousing, SQL, and Power BI, along with a strong understanding of banking data domains and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Data Modeling

• Design and maintain Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models for Enterprise Data Warehouses.
• Develop dimensional models using Star and Snowflake schemas.
• Design enterprise data models for Data Warehouses, Data Marts, and analytical platforms.
• Perform source-to-target mapping, data profiling, and gap analysis.
• Define and maintain enterprise data modeling standards, naming conventions, and metadata documentation.

Banking Data Warehouse

• Design and manage data models for banking domains including:

• Customer

• Accounts

• Loans

• Deposits

• Payments

• Cards

• Treasury

• Risk

• Finance

• Support regulatory reporting and enterprise analytics through optimized data models.

• Ensure data quality, consistency, lineage, and governance across the Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Analytics & Reporting

• Develop and optimize data models to support Power BI reporting and analytics.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and performance tuning.
• Support reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence initiatives with scalable data models.
• Collaborate with ETL/Data Engineering teams to ensure accurate implementation of data models.

Performance & Governance

• Optimize data models for reporting and analytical performance.
• Maintain metadata repositories, business glossaries, and data dictionaries.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance and data quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Data Warehousing and Data Modeling.

• Strong expertise in:

• Enterprise Data Modeling

• Conceptual, Logical & Physical Data Modeling

• Star Schema & Snowflake Schema

• Data Warehouse Design

• Data Marts

• Advanced SQL skills with experience writing complex queries and performance tuning.

• Hands-on experience with Power BI datasets, reporting, and analytical solutions.

• Experience with Data Modeling tools such as:

• ERwin

• ER/Studio

• PowerDesigner

• Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler

• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and Data Warehousing methodologies.

• Experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage.

Banking Domain Experience (Mandatory)

Candidates must have hands-on Banking domain experience with exposure to one or more of the following:

• Core Banking
• Retail Banking
• Corporate Banking
• Risk Management
• Regulatory Reporting
• Basel III / Basel IV
• IFRS 9
• Treasury
• Customer 360
• AML
• Enterprise Banking Data Warehouse implementations

Preferred Skills

Candidates must have hands-on Banking domain experience with exposure to one or more of the following:

• SSAS / Tabular Models / Semantic Models
