• Manage the(cluster) team within ZF, providing leadership across timeline, quality,maturity, and cost, as well as the scope of requirements, design,implementation, testing, and calibration.
• Execute cluster‑specific ASPICE processes and tasks, including responsibility for MAN and SPL, and management of SYS (Functional, BSW, LV/HV Electrical), SWE, HWE,MEE (electronics), and SUP disciplines.
• Serve as the main customer contact for the specific cluster, handling escalations,deadlines, technical topics, quotations, and related matters.
• Collaborate with and support the Engineering Project Manager (EPM) in resource planning, budget planning, and schedule planning.
• Manage and track cluster‑specific problem management and risk management activities.
• Prepare, update, and submit status reports—based on KPIs and other indicators—to line management, the project team, and, when required, the customer.
• Oversee variant management and change management for the cluster.
• Manage the Bill of Materials (BOM), holding responsibility for complete inverter material release across electronic, mechanical, and EOL software components.
• Initiate the approval workflow for key work‑product deliverables according to the defined release level.
• Support supplier management for both internal and external development partners regarding design scope, in collaboration with Purchasing, Supplier Quality, Product Line EE, Operations, and Controlling.
• Support the sample manager in material procurement, including approval of changes and deviations.
• Execute VA/VE activities related to product cost and CO₂e to support achieving the product cost and carbon‑footprint targets.
• Support the product line in constructing, specifying, and commissioning end‑of‑line (EOL) systems, and contribute to plant quality activities including IATF 16949 audits, problem analysis, and technical requirement reviews.
• Coordinate required simulations and contribute to the DVP team, while supporting special sample testing such as power‑module black‑box testing.
• Support the Engineering Project Manager (EPM) in the approval of PFMEA. Provide disciplinary and professional leadership to direct employees, and professional leadership to indirect employees. Profile Requirement
• Strong knowledge and proven experience in project management.
• Proficiency in review methodologies and hands-on experience conducting technical and process reviews.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within cross functional teams.
• Competence in applying systematic analysis methods for problem solving and decision making.
• Project specific knowledge and competencies depending on the technical content to be managed, including:
• Automotive SPICE and IATF 16949.
• Functional safety and cybersecurity standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508).
• General automotive standards and regulatory frameworks.
• System, software, hardware, and mechanical engineering principles.
• Ability to evaluate complex technical concepts, guide architectural decisions, and support cross‑disciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience in automotive software development or electronic system development projects. System level understanding and domain knowledge, e.g., E-drive or powertrain technologies.
