EHS & Chargeman

About the role

Responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the company's electrical, mechanical, and facility systems while maintaining full compliance with statutory, environmental, and occupational safety regulations. The role supports plant operations through effective maintenance, equipment reliability, energy management, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of EHS and facility performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and building utility systems.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Ensure compliance with DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, incident investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor energy consumption and drive energy-saving initiatives.
• Supervise contractors and ensure safe work practices, including permit-to-work and PPE compliance.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, vendors, and contractors on statutory and maintenance matters.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment documentation, spare parts inventory, and prepare EHS and maintenance reports.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance to minimize operational downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

About you

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Registered Chargeman A4 with Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
• 2-3 years' experience in electrical or facilities maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read electrical drawings.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Willing to work on emergency call-outs, including weekends and public holidays.
• Knowledge of EHS and statutory compliance requirements is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and report preparation.
