What they need

EHS Compliance Technician — Nashville, TN

A day in this role

Your morning might begin with a floor walkthrough, scanning for hazards and verifying that machine guards, signage, and housekeeping meet standards. Mid-day, you could be coaching teams on emergency response procedures and facilitating a quick toolbox talk. In the afternoon, you may analyze an incident report, document root causes, and outline corrective actions. You’ll wrap up by updating safety records, preparing an audit summary, and partnering with managers to advance continuous improvement across the facility.

Impact you’ll make

  • Continuously elevate our safety culture while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Turn observations into action—closing gaps with practical, measurable improvements.
  • Keep our teams informed and confident through clear training and communication.

Core responsibilities

  • Perform recurring safety inspections and audits to surface and mitigate risks.
  • Create, refine, and roll out safety policies and procedures that align with regulatory expectations.
  • Deliver training and guidance on safe work practices and site-wide emergency protocols.
  • Lead incident/accident investigations; capture findings and recommend corrective measures.
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports of all safety activities and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with leadership and teams to reinforce a proactive, improvement-focused safety mindset.
  • Track industry developments to integrate evolving best practices into daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • 2+ years in a safety function, ideally within industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Solid command of OSHA standards and applicable safety regulations.
  • Clear, confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety management software.
  • Certifications such as CSP or OHST are beneficial.

Specialized proficiency we value

  • Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Workers’ Compensation fundamentals
  • Workplace Safety & EHS Management
  • Machine safety inspections and verification
  • LTIR (Lost Time Injury Rate) tracking and reporting
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • ISO 14001 exposure or certification experience
  • Root Cause Analysis techniques
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

If you’re driven to prevent incidents and build systems that help people work safely, we’d love to connect.
