Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS Engineer to manage and continuously improve the Environmental, Health and Safety Management System in compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and applicable Malaysian regulatory requirements. The role involves ensuring DOSH and DOE compliance, conducting risk assessments and workplace inspections, coordinating occupational health programs, maintaining EHS documentation, and supporting audits and training initiatives to promote a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible workplace.

Job Description:

1. Manage and continuously improve the EHS Management System in accordance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and applicable local regulatory requirements.
2. Ensure compliance with DOSH, DOE and other relevant statutory requirements.
3. Conduct HIRARC, risk assessments, workplace inspections and follow up on corrective and preventive actions periodic.
4. Coordinate CHRA, occupational health surveillance and medical examination programs.
5. Develop and maintain EHS documentation, records and reports, and coordinate internal and external audits.
6. Plan and conduct annual EHS training and competency development programs.
7. Support environmental, occupational safety and health initiatives to promote a safe and compliant workplace.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Engineering or related field.

• Minimum 2 years of OSH experience preferred; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

• Proven experience in First Aid, Fire Safety, and Chemical Handling (including CHRA and HAZMAT).

• Experience in leading an emergency response team or acting as an emergency commander.

• ISO 14001 & 45001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification.

• Proficiency in speak, read, and write Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking contractors.
