EHS Manager

Job Objective:

Assists in managing systems, programs, and processes necessary to support facility compliance with local regulatory standards on environment, health, and safety management systems within the company. Helps ensure that operations are safe, protect employees, and do not adversely affect the environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serves as the Facility's Pollution Control Officer and Safety Officer as required by the local regulatory agencies (DENR/LLDA and DOLE) for Cabuyao and Marilao facilities.
• Leads the implementation of effective environmental management system (EMS), health and safety management system that ensures compliance to the appropriate regulatory agency.
• Leads the implementation of an effective security system that ensure protection of factory assets and properties.
• Continuously reviews, and audits manufacturing facilities/plants (in-house and toll manufacturers) for EHS compliance; manages the tools and processes to monitor and ensure achievement of performance targets.
• Proactively identifies emerging EHS issues on the local and national levels, develop effective strategies and systems to issues and translates strategies into department goals and objectives.
• Builds and maintains strong, credible relationship with external agencies including government and non-government organizations and leverages these relationships to the advantages of the company.
• Works effectively with cross-functional EHS teams to promote and maintain EHS awareness and compliance.
• Works effectively with Plant Operation Managers, Department Managers, Group Heads for the implementation and monitoring of EHS programs/activities within their respective facility/project.
• Creates, develops and conducts appropriate training programs on EHS to enhance employee competence and performance to EHS.
• Conducts thorough and careful analysis and investigation of accident/incidents and deliver quality solution.
• Develops relevant and appropriate EHS procedures.
• Constantly stays abreast with company and industry activities to ensure company
• maintains a good record with respect to EHS compliance.
• Provides technical support in all Company operating facilities/plants.
• Acts as liaison officer for government agencies on EHS
• Directly manages activities of 3rd party security service provider.
• Performs other development tasks and projects as assigned.
• Provides high-level guidance to plant and corporate leadership on enterprise-wide risk reduction strategies and long-range EHS and Security planning.
• Oversees cross-site harmonization of EHS standards, ensuring consistency, alignment and best practice adoption across all company locations.

Experience / Expertise:

• Minimum of 8 years experience in Environmental, Health, Safety & Security Management at the appropriate level of Occupational Safety & Health Risk Assessment, Ergonomics, Behavior-Based Safety, Industrial Hygiene Fire Prevention & Control, HSES Training, Security Administration, Loss Prevention & Control, Business Continuity Program, and Environmental Management System involving plant manufacturing and related operations.
• Minimum of 10 to 12 years of progressive experience preferred for the Senior Manager level, including leadership of multi-site EHS operations and enterprise-level program development.
