EHS Manager

At IPS, you will apply your knowledge, skills, and passion to make a difference in the lives of people, solving complex challenges related to pharmaceutical, biotech, and animal health research and manufacturing facilities. We are looking for a talented Senior EHS Manager to join our dedicated team out of our office located in Frankfurt.

This is a 12 month contract position with a view to extend at a competitive hourly rate.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead the project EHS programme, ensuring compliance by the project team and all subcontractors
• Liaise closely with the SiGeKo, supporting the SiGe-Plan and BaustellV compliance
• Support subcontractor EHS prequalification, Safety Plan development and implementation
• Participate in kick-off meetings so contractors understand project-specific EHS requirements
• Review contractor JSAs/RAMS against client and IPS requirements
• Carry out site inspections and EHS compliance audits
• Advise the project team on German regulations (ArbSchG, DGUV, BaustellV) and client standards

Für ein Projekt in Marburg suchen wir einen erfahrenen Senior EHS Manager (m/w/d) für unser Project Delivery and Construction Team .

Ihre Aufgaben

• Leitung des EHS-Programms im Projekt und Sicherstellung der Compliance aller Beteiligten und Nachunternehmer
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem SiGeKo und Unterstützung bei SiGe-Plan und BaustellV
• Unterstützung bei der EHS-Präqualifikation von Nachunternehmern sowie bei Sicherheitsplänen
• Teilnahme an Kick-off-Meetings zur Vermittlung projektspezifischer EHS-Anforderungen
• Prüfung von Gefährdungsbeurteilungen/JSAs gemäß Kunden- und IPS-Anforderungen
• Baustellenbegehungen und EHS-Audits
• Beratung des Projektteams zu ArbSchG, DGUV, BaustellV und Kundenstandards

Voraussetzungen

• Nachweisbare Erfahrung in der Zusammenarbeit mit dem SiGeKo auf deutschen Baustellen
• Verhandlungssichere Deutsch- sowie gute Englischkenntnisse
• Leitende EHS-Erfahrung bei großen Bauprojekten, idealerweise Life Sciences/Pharma

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience working with a SiGeKo on German construction projects
• Fluent German, spoken and written, plus good English
• Senior EHS experience on large construction projects, ideally life sciences/pharma
• Bachelor’s degree or technical/vocational training preferably in Construction Safety or Engineering or a related field.
• 5- 10 years of construction safety experience with some pharmaceutical background in a senior capacity.
• Knowledge and experience with construction safety topics such as - Fall Protection, Trenching, and Shoring, Crane Lifts, Steel Erection, Hot Work, Confined Space, Emergency Plans, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pharmaceutical Design/Build/Validate processes.

• May involve travel to project locations for several days to several weeks.
• Exemplify safety values, policies, and procedures that all IPS employees are expected to follow.
