This is not a traditional hospital nursing role. We are seeking a nurse with experience in Occupational Health, Employee Health Services, Industrial Nursing, Case Management, and/or Manufacturing Operations Support.

Working closely with site leadership, Human Resources, Safety, Operations, and an existing EHS Nurse, this individual will manage employee health programs, administer medical surveillance, coordinate return-to-work efforts, respond to workplace injuries and illnesses, and support overall employee wellness initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative professional who thrives in a manufacturing environment and enjoys building strong partnerships across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite Occupational Health Services for a manufacturing workforce
  • Conduct medical surveillance programs, health assessments, and annual medical examinations
  • Manage work-related injuries and illnesses, including treatment, documentation, and follow-up care
  • Coordinate and facilitate Return-to-Work Programs and workplace accommodations
  • Perform Occupational Case Management for occupational and non-occupational medical conditions
  • Support Workers' Compensation processes and collaborate with external healthcare providers
  • Conduct fitness-for-duty evaluations
  • Administer and manage drug and alcohol testing programs
  • Perform hearing conservation testing, spirometry testing, vision screening, and other occupational health assessments
  • Provide immunizations, phlebotomy, and preventive health services as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure confidentiality
  • Partner with HR, Safety, Operations, and Leadership Teams on employee health matters
  • Support site Emergency Response activities and participate on the Emergency Response Team
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, FMLA, DOT, and other applicable regulations
  • Assist in identifying workplace health risks and implementing preventative health initiatives
  • Promote employee wellness, health education, and injury prevention programs
  • Participate in corporate health, safety, and wellness initiatives

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or Compact State
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); BSN preferred

  • Experience supporting employee populations within manufacturing, industrial, chemical, production, or similar environments
  • Knowledge of Workers' Compensation, OSHA, ADA, and FMLA
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with employees, management, HR, Safety, and external healthcare providers
