EHS Officer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced EHS Officer to support the establishment and continuous improvement of our Environmental, Health and Safety management system in Thailand. The role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Thai EHS regulations, identifying and controlling workplace risks, improving safety performance, and promoting a safe and healthy working environment across the factory.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain EHS policies, procedures, standards and management systems in accordance with Thai laws and company requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable occupational safety, health and environmental regulations, permits and reporting requirements.
• Conduct workplace safety inspections, risk assessments and hazard identification, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Manage safety issues related to machinery, welding, stamping, electrical work, chemicals, fire safety, PPE and other manufacturing operations.
• Investigate workplace incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Organize and conduct EHS training, safety awareness activities, emergency drills and fire safety programs for employees.
• Monitor environmental management activities, including waste, hazardous waste, wastewater, emissions and chemical management.
• Work with Production, Engineering, HR and other departments to identify EHS risks and implement improvement measures.
• Maintain EHS records, inspection reports, training records, incident statistics and other required documentation.
• Support external inspections, audits and customer requirements related to EHS and workplace safety.

About you

• Bachelor's degree or above in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of EHS / Occupational Health & Safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Professional Safety Officer (จป.วิชาชีพ) qualification / registration is required, or the candidate must meet the applicable Thai legal requirements for appointment and registration.
• Good knowledge of Thai occupational safety, health and environmental laws and regulations.
• Familiar with risk assessment, incident investigation, safety training, emergency response and workplace inspection.
• Experience with manufacturing processes such as machinery, welding, stamping, chemicals, electrical systems or warehouse operations is preferred.
• Good command of English in speaking, reading and writing for daily work and communication.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving and execution skills.
• Able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in factory start-up, EHS system establishment or EHS management system implementation.
• Experience with ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 or related management systems.
• Experience handling customer audits, government inspections and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in Lean / 5S, fire safety, chemical management or environmental management.
• Chinese–Thai bilingual communication ability.
