Job Summary
An EHS Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing environmental, health, and safety programs within a company, ensuring compliance with regulations by conducting inspections, training employees on safety procedures, investigating incidents, and promoting a culture of safety to prevent workplace injuries and environmental damage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
2. Investigating workplace accidents and incidents, analyzing root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
3. Provide training and guidance to employees on safety protocols, procedures, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
4. Liaise with relevant parties such as DOE, DOSH, BOMBA.
5. To investigate any accident, near-miss, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational diseases that happened at the place of work.
6. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks within our operations.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Candidates with a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
• Industry Experience: Ideally, you'll have 3 years of experience in an industrial or construction environment, but candidates with no prior experience are welcomed to apply.
• Compulsory Certification:  Registered Safety Officer (Green Book) certification from DOSH is MUST.
• Preferred Certification: Holder or Candidate of IETS Certification is highly preferred: Possess a valid IETS certification issued by DOE (Department of Environment), OR be a registered candidate who has completed the formal IETS training course and is currently finalizing the practical project/report phase.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Malaysian OSH regulations, standards, and codes of practice is essential for success in this role.
• Communication Skills: Excellence in communication, training, and interpersonal skills is crucial for effective collaboration with all levels of staff.
• Analytical Mindset: A detail-oriented approach, analytical thinking, and proactive problem-solving skills are key attributes for this position.
