EHS Specialist

EHS Specialist – Limerick, Ireland – Initial 12-Month Contract – Life Sciences Ireland is the hive of activity for the Life Sciences Sector at present with global players setting up new and expanding existing manufacturing facilities all over the World. An exciting assignment has arisen to support a global pharmaceutical organisation on a major expansion project based in the picturesque Limerick, on an initial 12-month contract.

What You’ll Deliver

• Develop, implement and monitor environmental, health & safety programs to ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations and company standards and values.
• Drive effective writing/revising/rolling out of accurate operational procedures, training materials and EHS related procedures, ensure all work is subsequently carried out in line with same.
• Participate in process and system walk-downs and the completion of safety reviews with active follow up of action closure.
• Identify and address site EHS issues and employee concerns.
• Perform EHS risk assessments such as: chemical; biological; machinery; area; task specific; and make recommendations to control hazards.

Experience required:

• BS/ BA in Health and Safety or related field
• Extensive experience working in an EHS role within the pharmaceutical/biotech
