Are you passionate about creating safer workplaces, driving continuous improvement, and influencing positive change? This is a unique opportunity to join a brand-new operation and play a key role in building a strong safety culture from the ground up.

We're looking for an EHS Specialist to support a major technology customer at our new site in Oude Meer (Amsterdam region) . Working closely with site leadership and operational teams, you'll have the opportunity to make a visible impact across health & safety, environmental compliance, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll be doing

• Driving health, safety, environmental and quality initiatives across the site
• Supporting audits, inspections and compliance activities
• Conducting risk assessments and investigating incidents, near misses and root causes
• Coaching and engaging employees to strengthen safety awareness and safe working practices
• Monitoring performance data and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Supporting ISO standards, compliance programmes and continuous improvement initiatives
• Partnering with operational leaders to develop practical and sustainable solutions
• Contributing to sustainability projects focused on reducing waste, energy consumption and environmental impact

What you'll bring

• Experience in EHS, HSE, QHSE, SHEQ or a similar Health & Safety role
• Strong knowledge of management systems, audits, risk assessments and compliance processes
• Experience working in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, industrial or other operational environments
• Confidence building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels
• A proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and drive improvements
• Professional proficiency in both Dutch and English
• A bachelor's degree and relevant certifications are advantageous
