EHS Specialist Senior

We are seeking an experienced Senior EHS Specialist (Environmental) to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Cork. Reporting to the EHS Manager, you will lead environmental compliance programmes, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement across site environmental and sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead environmental compliance activities across the site, including IED Licence requirements and EPA engagement.
• Manage environmental monitoring, reporting, and regulatory submissions.
• Oversee wastewater treatment, carbon abatement systems, and waste management programmes.
• Lead environmental incident investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Support audits, inspections, training programmes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage environmental budgets and provide leadership to the environmental team.

Requirements:

• Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, EHS, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' environmental/EHS experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing, or similarly regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, EPA requirements, and dangerous goods regulations.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
