Elasticsearch Administrator / Elasticsearch Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Elasticsearch Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Elasticsearch cluster administration, monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of distributed environments.

The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of dedicated, hands-on experience in Elasticsearch administration, including cluster management, optimization, upgrades, backups, and production issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Elasticsearch clusters in production environments.
• Monitor cluster health, node performance, storage utilization, shard allocation, and indexing/search performance.
• Perform cluster configuration, capacity planning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Manage Index Lifecycle Management (ILM), snapshots, backups, retention policies, and recovery procedures.
• Handle Elasticsearch upgrades, patching, cluster scaling, and node management.
• Configure and maintain Logstash pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
• Manage Elastic Agents, Fleet Server, and integrations with Windows, Linux, and cloud environments.
• Work with Kibana for monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational visibility.
• Troubleshoot indexing failures, query latency, ingestion bottlenecks, and cluster stability issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, security, and application teams to maintain reliable Elasticsearch services.

Mandatory Skills:

• 4+ years of dedicated hands-on Elasticsearch administration.
• Strong understanding of Elasticsearch architecture, distributed clusters, nodes, shards, and replicas.
• Experience in cluster health monitoring, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
• Hands-on experience with ILM, snapshots, backups, retention, upgrades, and recovery.
• Experience with Logstash and data ingestion pipelines.
• Good knowledge of Linux and production troubleshooting.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Kibana, Elastic Agents, Fleet Server, and Elastic integrations.
• Experience onboarding data from Windows/Linux systems and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• ESQL, observability, security analytics, and dashboard configuration.
• Automation or scripting using Python, Bash, or similar tools.
